America and the world have entered into an economic crisis which has been enlarged by greed and misuse of power. Equally important, America's leadership seems to have lost its way in representing the working people of America and has bailed out the banks and corporations leaving

American workers to fend for themselves. Sacrificed along the way has been any debate or resolution on whether America has an obligation to its people. Healthcare, education, employment at a decent wage with a sense of job security, these basic tenets of fulfilling the American Dream lost as Congress openly issued a blank check to bankers and brokers at the expense of future generations. As I speak of Renewing America, I ask you to decide which future we want for our nation.

We are now living the future of the opposition, debt without responsibility, lost services, slipping educational opportunity in our cities and rural communities, deteriorating healthcare and a foreign policy that has diminished America's standing in the world.

I hope, as I do, you see a different future. Centered around a policy of providing opportunity to our working families, helping them to regain a foothold on their lives. Good schools, affordable universal health coverage, strong American manufacturing and service jobs that provide an honest wage. If you do I hope you will support this campaign and working together we can truly Renew America.
